I want to be on the record that I believe in the free market economy. Unfortunately, it doesn't exist. Not here in America. Not anywhere on the planet. (More on this in the Capitalism & Monetary Policy.) And, I want to be crystal clear on this point, I believe capitalism has done more to lift people out of poverty than any other system. That said, our society is facing peril because we have not provided equal opportunity. So now we have to deal with it!
